This walk takes us through the three old districts of Untergiesing, Obergiesing and Au, Munich’s traditional working class districts. As a result of extensive structural transformation, modern residential areas are increasingly expanding into these former factory areas. On this tour we are reminded of the rapid development of recent decades. Beginning on the former Osram site, the use of which is now industrial history, we continue to the Grünwald Stadium. The restructuring of the former Agfa site and the Giesinger Grünspitz demonstrate the extent to which Munich's urban redevelopment contributes to improved quality of life. The path then leads via the TeLa-Post monument in Au, where further new quarters are being built on Nockherberg, after the relocation of the Paulaner brewery to the outskirts.
