Former Neudeck Women's Prison

At the foot of the Nockherberg rises a neoclassical industrial building from the early years of the 20th century. This imposing building, situated directly on the Auer Mühlbach, was a correctional facility for women and adolescents until 2009. Because of the high renovation costs and the condition of the structure, future social use by the City of Munich was out of the question. The historic building has subsequently been acquired by a real estate company. 128 apartments are being built here under the name 'Haus Mühlbach'; another example of the continuous redevelopment of Au.
