The structures from the 19th century are clearly recognisable in the Feldmühlensiedlung.

Feldmüller Settlement
The entire Feldmüller Settlement between Tegernseer Landstrasse and Heilig Kreuz Church is a listed monument. Craftsmen, day laborers and small businessmen built the simple, single-storey houses with a small garden or a courtyard as places to live and work between 1830 and 1860. The former workers' settlement is unique in Germany. Between 1984 and 2005, the City of Munich supported the renovation of the houses with the help of the 'Herbergsprogramm' - a special conservation initiative. It also ensured that these houses remained in the possession of Giesing and Munich craftsmen. In spite of this, in 2017 the 'Uhrmacherhäusl' ('watchmaker's house') on Obere Grasstrasse was illegally demolished. Since then, an initiative by local residents has been committed to its restoration.
