The "Wabe" is set to become an architectural eye-catcher in the neighbourhood.
Special rooms also require a specially customised interior design.
There will be large family flats in the "garden house".
Wogeno building in Den-Haag-Strasse
The Wogeno cooperative is constructing two completely different buildings on a plot in Riem Süd - both in terms of architecture and concept.
The so-called garden house will contain family flats with four to five rooms. Right next door, in the "honeycomb house", things are more experimental: hexagonal tubes stacked on top of each other form a honeycomb structure. Here, the architects were inspired by nature. The rooms can be flexibly interconnected and so there will be small residential units and large shared flats in cluster flats. While the building is being constructed, the cooperative is working with the planners on the necessary interior design.
As in other neighbourhoods, the cooperative is planning a neighbourhood shop on the ground floor of the "Wabe" for the building community and the neighbourhood. There will also be a room for a self-service bicycle repair station.
