Haager Strasse Primary School
Where new living space is created, the need for social infrastructure, such as schools, also increases. A new primary school with four classes per grade level, based on the learning house concept, was built at Haager Straße 14-18 in the Werksviertel. In the interior there is a lot of wood, generous glass walls, exposed concrete and color accents. The cafeteria can be converted for events. The outdoor area includes a diversely designed schoolyard with a traffic practice area, play equipment, raised beds and outdoor sports areas. But the school should not just be a place for the children. The spacious double sports hall was also planned for club sports. Since the housing construction in the Werksviertel is not yet finished, the school was initially used as a vocational school for personal care for two years and also as a special needs school since September 2022.
