The Werksviertel-Mitte and the Atelierstrasse at night
A four-star hotel and a hostel have been built in Werk 4.
There is communal gardening on the roof of Werk 3.

Werksviertel-Mitte
Companies such as Pfanni, Zündapp, Konen and Optimol used to have their production facilities on the Werksviertel site at Ostbahnhof. After the last machines were switched off in 1996, Europe's largest party area, the Kunstpark Ost (later Kultfabrik), moved in here. Since 2017, 600 apartments and many new jobs have been built in the ten-hectare Werksviertel-Mitte (Werksviertel total: 39 hectares). The aim is to create an urban mix of living space, offices, a concert hall, hotels, restaurants and sports facilities. You can see Munich from above from the 78 meter high Umadum Ferris wheel. A new landmark is the 86 meter high Werk 4, which houses a four-star hotel and a hostel. The 35 meter high former Pfanni potato silos were converted into the Heaven's Gate climbing hall. Various shops will provide local supplies in the future and a new primary school for 400 children has also been built (see next station).
