Bürgerbauverein (Community Housing Association) in the Ecological Model Settlement

A neighbourly, self-determined housing project in ecological timber construction, the community housing association has implemented this idea under the motto ’More Than Living‘. The 87 newly-created apartments enable accessible living for disabled people, and the accommodation of carers on site. A community and event room, guest apartments, workshops, a soundproofed music room and a co-working space are also provided. Accessible gardens are arranged on the rooftops of each building. The Bürgerbauverein housing association has set itself the admirable goal of harmonizing the requirements of climate protection, the demographic development of Munich, inclusion as a human right and the need for sustainable living spaces.
