Neuperlach South
South of Putzbrunner Strasse are the last two construction phases of Neuperlach, South I and South II, from the 1980s. Here there is a stark contrast to Neuperlach North, which is characterised by its centres and the residential ring road - the south is dominated by large trees, wide green strips and low buildings. Neuperlach South is also undergoing radical change. New formats meet historical dimensions: The Hotel Revo, for example, with its porthole windows, is a modern new building on Carl-Wery-Strasse. At the same time, the district is still dominated by the Siemens Group. For decades, Siemens has characterised the cityscape with new buildings on large areas. Nicknames such as ‘Legoland’ made the huge site famous - the roof looks as if it was constructed from Lego bricks.Siemens is now withdrawing from Neuperlach, large areas have already been sold and need to be revitalised.
