Maximilian-Kolbe-Allee is designed as a promenade.
Neuperlach Süd, in contrast to Neuperlach Nord, was not planned as a car-friendly town.
At the eastern end of Maximilian-Kolbe-Allee there is the U-/S-Bahn station Neuperlach Süd.
Redensification project on Maximilian-Kolbe-Allee
Maximilian-Kolbe-Allee
Maximilian-Kolbe-Allee stretches as a promenade from Dietz-Felbinger-Platz to the ‘Neuperlach Süd’ stop. Various shops, restaurants, the primary school, day-care centres, churches and other social facilities are all within walking distance. The Neuperlach Süd stop was unique in 1980: it was the first station in Munich where the underground and suburban railway met above ground. Along the Neuperlach Süd station, many new things have been and are being built: the ‘REVO’ boarding house, retail outlets and a Park&Ride facility as well as a new MVG underground station by 2026.
