Piusplatz
The workers' settlement with mini-apartments, built in 1928, surrounds a green square that is a popular meeting place. With four new passive houses on the north and south sides of Piusplatz, the municipal housing association Münchner Wohnen supplemented the historic inventory with predominantly barrier-free living space for families as well as older people and people with limited mobility. The energy-optimized houses open their facades to the south and close them to the north. A central gas heat pump provides heating and hot water. The living space is controlled by a ventilation system. When the open spaces were redesigned, interconnected green spaces were created. Nestled between large trees, there is space for games and encounters.
