At first glance, no one would suspect that a residential complex is hidden behind the colored glass facade.
When it gets dark, four strips of light begin to glow between Bad-Schachener-Strasse and Grafinger Strasse.
The residential complex on Innsbrucker Ring was awarded the 'Ehrenpreis für guten Wohnungsbau'.
Innsbrucker Ring 70-72
Around 64,000 vehicles pass through the Innsbrucker Ring during the day. Residents have to endure noise levels of up to 71 decibels, which corresponds to the noise of a vacuum cleaner. The 'Mittlerer Ring Action Program' aims to improve the urban development of the district and reduce noise pollution. As part of the 'Wohnen ohne Lärm' grant program, four noise protection buildings with 200 barrier-free and eight wheelchair-accessible apartments were built at Innsbrucker Ring 70-72. The new houses shield the residential development behind them. The model project 'Wohnen im Viertel' was also implemented in the new facility: people in need of care can live here in their own barrier-free apartment, but can ask the nursing service in the building for help if necessary. The residents' café offers space for neighborly exchange.
