Technical City Hall
The Technical City Hall on Friedenstrasse is the headquarters of the Munich City Council's Department of Construction, with more than 4,000 employees. Until the 63-meter-high building was completed in 2000, the employees were spread across 23 different departments in the city. With its block-edge development, the Technical City Hall fits in cleverly with the district. Inside, it is a transparent building: the use of natural light in the corridors, simple exposed concrete and continuous window sills create an open atmosphere. The top floor is accessible to the public.
