Hotel and office building designed by holger meyer architektur
The "Nachtkasterl" connects the blocks in the south-west.
The brick façade is a reminder of the history of the neighbourhood.
The Macherei: flexible office spaces for a variety of uses
Macherei
A new business and work quarter has been created on 26,400 square meters on the former site of the pharmaceutical company Temmler: the Macherei.
The post-industrial loft architecture of the six buildings combines the past and future of the area in an architectural way. The clinker facades are reminiscent of the former clay mining in Berg am Laim.
Today, tenants and neighbors enjoy a green courtyard and around 5,000 square meters of landscaped roof space, including a running track. There are restaurants and supermarkets on the ground floor. An eye-catcher is the four-star hotel with ten floors, which appears to consist of loosely stacked cubes. The blocks of houses in the southwest are connected by a bridge, the so-called "Nachtkasterl".
