The white, curved facade of the SiemensForum, 2005
SiemensForum
The building at Oskar-von-Miller-Ring 20 was constructed as the SiemensForum for Siemens AG in Munich's Maxvorstadt district in 1999 according to the plans of New York architect Richard Meier. The administration building has a facade of white painted aluminum sheets and is characterized by curves and glass bands, which also define the entrance rotunda. In 2016, after the completion of the Siemens headquarters in the immediate vicinity, it underwent a general renovation. It has been rented out as "Oskar" since 2017. In 2018, "Oskar" was sold to Swiss Life by Hines and the National Pension Service personal insurance fund for a three-digit million sum. Since then, various tenants have moved in: the German branch of the Condé Nast publishing house, WeWork and Amazon Web Services.
