Alter Hof
The former imperial residence from the 13th century was for a long time the seat of the Munich Central Finance Office. From 2003 to 2006, the north and east wings were structurally completed, the listed Lorenzistock was renovated and converted into an office and commercial building. The sheet metal and glass elements of the new roof are uniformly printed. Depending on the time of day and the incidence of light, they blend in with the adjacent red tiled roofs of the old buildings or stand out from them in terms of colour. Exclusive flats were created in the Brunnenstock and Pfisterstock sections of the building. Burgstock and Zwingerstock are home to state and cultural institutions as well as catering facilities. The Alte Hof is characterised by an attractive mix of uses and urban quality.
