The building belongs to the City of Munich, which rents out offices to creative professionals, among others.
During Second World War, the Ruffinihaus was damaged. Between 1954 and 1955, it was reconstructed by Erwin Schleich with some modifications.
Ruffinihaus
There are actually three residential and commercial buildings that were built at the beginning of the 20th century as the Ruffinihaus on Rindermarkt. Their multi-coloured façades are richly covered with stucco. The architect Gabriel von Seidl thus drew on Munich townhouse façades of the 17th and 18th centuries. Today, the city of Munich offers retail space in the Ruffinihaus at half the market rent. The small, owner-managed shops are thus strengthened in the interests of an attractive old town. A multi-year refurbishment was completed in 2020.
