During Second World War, the Ruffinihaus was damaged. Between 1954 and 1955, it was reconstructed by Erwin Schleich with some modifications.
Ruffinihaus
Three residential and commercial buildings were built at the beginning of the 20th century as Ruffinihaus on Rindermarkt. Their multi-colored facades are richly decorated with stucco. The architect, Gabriel von Seidl, thus adopted the style of the facades of Munich townhouses from the 17th and 18th centuries. Today the city of Munich offers retail space in the Ruffinihaus at half the market rent. The small, owner-managed shops are therefore supported, and create an attractive atmosphere in the old town. A renovation project lasting several years was completed in 2020.
