The nesting stool is a great place to rest, take a deep breath or simply get into conversation.
The ‘nesting stool’ in so-called ‘animal-aided design’ is intended to incorporate wild animals into architecture and urban planning.
Shady spot and meeting place
Excursus: Nesting stool
The nesting stool is a shady place for people and animals in the city. Here you can rest, take a deep breath or simply talk to each other. In summer, wild bees, sparrows and bats can be found here. The nesting stool is the result of an initiative of the now completed EU project “Creating NEBourhoods Together” (NEB). So called animal-aided Design is a method for incorporating wild animals into architecture, open space and urban planning. Buildings and open spaces that are designed with animal-aided design in the future will be climate-friendly places where all city dwellers can experience nature and where humans and animals can come together.
