South of Putzbrunner Strasse are the last two construction phases of Neuperlach, Süd I and Süd II, from the 1980s. Here, a strong contrast to Neuperlach North with its centres and the 'residential ring' is evident. The design of Therese-Giehse-Allee is the opposite of the image of a car-oriented city. Large trees line the avenue. Alongside the wide green strip and the attractive pedestrian area are shops and restaurants. Here, a deliberate break with the Neuperlach centre image has taken place. The buildings are also much smaller, with four- to six-storey apartment blocks.
