Sugar Valley
Where Sugar Mountain stood until 2024 is now Sugar Valley. Flats and workplaces with plenty of open space are being built here. The site is set to become a showcase project for sustainable urban neighbourhoods in Germany. The special thing about ‘Sugar Valley’ is the energy concept, which is based exclusively on natural resources. This means that the environment will not be burdened with additional carbon dioxide during construction or operation. The new district with eleven buildings will offer around 150,000 m² of rental space and 20,000 m² of open space. This will create space for more than 30 types of use - from working, living, shopping and catering to leisure and events. The designs for the first construction phase were created by J. Mayer H. and COBE.
