The old production hall now provides space for a kindergarten and small businesses, 2023.
Much of the site has been demolished - the surviving structures still show the former character.
Next to the old production hall, numerous new residential buildings are being built, including the "Toelzer" on the far right, 2023.

Deckelgelände
In the square between Boschetsrieder Strasse, Steinerstrasse, Plinganserstrasse and Tölzer Strasse, the Friedrich Deckel engineering factory was based until the 1990s. Its flat production hall, built in 1962, is still architecturally interesting. The production hall, which is now a listed building, has no internal supports - its entire area was needed for the installation of machinery. This cantilevered steel truss construction is topped by the seven-storey former administration building.
In future, the former factory site will be used for mixed residential and commercial purposes. The central production hall - the "Deckelhalle" with an area of around 12,000 square metres - will be upgraded both visually and functionally. In addition to storage rooms, it will house small businesses, cultural enterprises and social facilities. In addition, new buildings with flats and offices are being constructed; for example, a seven-storey office building on Plinganserstraße and a four- to eight-storey residential building with underground car park, the "Toelzer", on Tölzer Straße. More than 350 residential units are planned, some of them subsidised.
